About Smith Point County Park

This small nude beach is at the eastern end of fire island. Along with Lighthouse Beach at the western end, these two are the only nude beaches on Fire island that can be reached by car instead of ferry, this one is very Popular with naturists from eastern Long island.  

Directions

Take the Long Island Expressway Route 495 to Exit 68, get onto the William Floyd Parkway. Go south, go 8 miles, cross the bridge into Smith Point County Park. Park at the western end of the parking lot from the round National Park Service Information Center, Walk west along the boardwalk until it ends. Go over the dune crossing, and continue walking west along the beach until the next dune crossing, where the nude section begins. its a long walk be sure to take water.
